Here is a screen grab of the video editing,
as you can see there is a lot going on. This is the final version so nothing else is going to change i think its pretty good now. In the top left you can see one of the scenes that have a "security camera" type overlay that effect was a bit time consuming to make.

MUTRIX FEEDBACK
Our feed back was very positive many groups believed our video to be one of the best. We learned that our video has too much action and we need to tone it back because not all of our fighting scenes made sense in the cannon of the story arch we where trying to capture in our 1 minute scene.

Storyboard
This is our story board for our Christmas scene. It contains all the shot types for our scene including some of the draft dialogue and what angle the shots should be.
Script L2 yellow 4
This is our script for the short Christmas special scene. We didn't have too much trouble in filming and recording this except at one part where Robert had his back to the character where we had to use a recorder to add the voiceovers and ambient sounds in later.
I edited over my original script with pen to show where I had changed the dialogue and the motions each of the characters make.

MRC Filming
We managed to get plenty of good MRC footage as it was a quiet and dark day. However the light wasn't great, But despite this we managed to get plenty of footage appropriate for the atmosphere of the sequence.
Another problem we had was that some of our video footage wasn't quite good enough and equipment was in shot so it all had to be filmed again.

This image is our cinematographer/cameraman reading the script to see if he can make any changes on the shot types.

This image is a shot of Aaron having his scene filmed where he hacks the security camera so Lawrence can get into the lab. We didn't have any trouble filming this scene.

Directors Blog 1:
Lawrence's opening scene practicing before his scene is filmed. This scene is where he is producing a biochemical compound for the intro scene.
Me working on my scene. Here, I play a gamer who gets angry at a frozen game and smashes the screen. We had some trouble getting the motion correct.

This is me and Algis, the production designer, fixing the tripod for the camera so we can shoot the scene, we didn't have any issues at this time.

Slayer 97 (Eli) profile
This is my character profile for Eli or slayer 97. I choose to go for a more generic gamer as opposed to a hardcore gamer. I think that this gamer will appeal to a wider audiences of more casual gamers.
Dr who target audience
We started by identifying how they found doctor who and what they liked such as syfy, star trek and star wars. We also found that people all around the world watch Dr who because it is just that popular and because it has a wide audience and appeals to many people when it first started.

L2 UNIT 40 - MuTr:IX Brief
Channel 4 has commissioned a six-part television drama to be scheduled at the same time as Doctor Who on the BBC. This new drama series will compete for a similar target audience as the BBC’s flagship programme.
The series finale will conclude with a Christmas Eve special.
It will be a conspiracy thriller set at a sixth form college in Cambridge. Four students individually get tipped off by email / social media messages that students of the college are to receive a government agency experimental treatment originally trialled in 2009 (“Mutation Treatment IX”) which eradicates any sense of protest or activist behaviour in the upcoming generation of the electorate towards the government aim of absolute control. The treatment is received/ingested through the eye, without students’ knowledge or consent.
The four student protagonists are:
1. An activist (hacker, studying political sciences)
2. A non-activist (interests in sport, fashion, a consumer, alpha college social character etc.)
3. A computer expert (designer, programmer, gamer etc.)
4. A budding bio scientist (with interests in human biology)
TASK
In groups, you will produce the opening titles sequence and the opening scene in which one of the four students gets tipped off about the Mu Tr :IX programme.
